Villa Radicata is situated in beautiful Tuscany but also within easy reach of neighbouring region Umbria the "green heart of Italy", making it an ideal base for exploring all of central Italy. Throughout the year there are numerous events to suit all tastes and budgets - delicious food, fine wines, music concerts, cultural events, local festivals, designer outlet shopping and remember after a hard day's culture or shopping you've got the peace and quiet of Villa Radicata to come back to.

There are many tasty festivals throughout the year, such as Eurochocolate 15-24th October in Perugia, the largest chocolate festival in Europe, the chestnut festival run over the last 2 weekends in October in Caprese Michelangelo and the truffle festival the first week in November at Citta Di Castello. Throughout the Autumn season there are various food festivals in most villages at the weekends with tastings and produce for sale. The San Sepolcro Palio takes place the first weekend in September and the medieval festival in Anghiari in May.

Perugia, one hour away, also holds the famous jazz festival, Umbria Jazz 8-17th July.

When you get here, check all the local towns and villages where you'll find posters advertising local events. The magazine "Toscana Tascabile" a Tuscan events listings magazine, (available from all local newsagents) is also worth buying.
